Done 100% en plein air, or on location, with a group of other plein air artists in Eldorado Springs, Colorado. This was one of the most beautiful areas I’ve ever been to, from the beautiful river to the rocky canyon beyond. It’s hard to believe this has been in my backyard this whole time.
This study was done at the very end of our venture, and funny enough, it was my favorite painting of the day. Sometimes all that’s needed is a bit of time pressure to make you loosen up and work on getting everything blocked in correctly.
